One Fund
In the past, many churches — including ours — have used multiple funds to support ministry. You may have been asked to continue giving to a “general fund” while also giving an additional gift toward a special project or initiative (such as our End-of-the-Year-Offering). As we’ve prayed and listened for where God is leading Valley View next, we believe He’s inviting us into something simpler — and more unified.
Our elders have chosen to move forward with a “One Fund” approach, wherein all generosity at Valley View goes into one shared fund that supports all ministries across the church. This “One Fund” supports both our regular budgeted expenses and specially designated projects inside and outside of our church. The approach helps us celebrate generosity as one collective story and see the full impact of what God is doing through our church.
So when you give to the “general fund,” you are giving to this year’s “End-of-Year-Offering.” Thank you for your generosity!
Ways to Give
Radical Generosity
We believe generosity is a defining mark of those who follow Jesus. Just as the early church freely shared what they had, we will give of our time, talents, and resources—even when it requires sacrifice. We recognize that everything we have belongs to God, and we want our lives to reflect His open-handed love. By giving joyfully and sacrificially, we join in God’s work of meeting needs, building His Kingdom, and showing the world what it looks like to trust Him fully.
Acts 2:44–45 “And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need."
“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
Luke 6:38
